Whilst the apartment is not specifically designed or adapted for guests with disabilities, its spacious open-plan layout and single-level design make it well suited to guests with some mobility issues.
We regret The Townhouse is NOT a dog-friendly apartment - sadly no dogs are permitted.
We have been coming to Stratford to the RSC for years and this property is a breath of fresh air for guests to the town. Fresh, luxurious, comfortable and close to everything- we love it!

Just a 2-minute stroll from the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and the banks of the River Avon, our stylish ground-floor apartment puts you quite literally on the doorstep of Stratford’s world-famous attractions, outstanding restaurants, and independent boutiques. Whether you’re planning a theatre getaway, a romantic weekend or a relaxed cultural break, you can walk everywhere.
With a free zoned on-street parking permit for the duration of your stay- you'll have no parking worries, no traffic wardens, no taxis — just step outside and enjoy Stratford-upon-Avon. A car is not essential for travelling to the property and ease of getting around. Stratford-upon-Avon train station is a 14-minute walk or 4-minute taxi.
I had a delightful stay at the Townhouse in Stratford-upon-Avon. Newly renovated the space is beautifully decorated and kitted out. A well equipped kitchen for self-catering stays and every need has it’s item. Soft bedding to collapse into after a long day of sightseeing. The location is ideal for touring the town - close to everything! It’s also ideal for a bit of quiet in the evening on the edge of Old Town. A real gem of a place

Formerly a schoolhouse known as Trinity College, the building has played an important role in Stratford's heritage for generations. Today, it has been carefully and respectfully transformed into a luxurious retreat for two, blending historic character with contemporary comfort.
The renovation has been a true labour of love. Over many months, every aspect of the apartment was meticulously restored and redesigned by the owners of Mount Pleasant Barns Ltd, as part of a wider portfolio of luxury holiday accommodation in the area. Great care has been taken to preserve the building's original features and architectural charm while introducing the highest standards of modern living.
Working within the fabric of a listed building required a thoughtful approach. Original details were celebrated wherever possible, while every finish, fixture and furnishing was carefully selected to complement the property's heritage and create a seamless sense of luxury throughout.

The bed was super comfortable - great night's sleep and we had everything we needed. Is the Townhouse actually in a college? No! Despite the name in the address - Trinity College, Mount Pleasant Townhouse is not part of a college. The building was formerly an old school, which is where the name comes from. It has now been completely transformed into a collection of private apartments, including our beautiful Townhouse.
Is it really within walking distance of Stratford-upon-Avon? Absolutely – and this is one of its biggest advantages. You can literally leave the Townhouse and stroll into the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon in around 5 minutes. You are also approximately 5 minutes from the theatre, with the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and other cultural attractions right on your doorstep. Wander down to the River Avon, browse the markets, explore the historic streets, enjoy the restaurants and cafés or simply spend the day exploring Stratford on foot. There is really no need to get in the car once you arrive.
Is everything on one level? Yes. The Townhouse accommodation is all on one level, making it easy to move around and particularly convenient for guests who prefer not to negotiate stairs within the accommodation.
Does the Townhouse have underfloor heating? Yes. The Townhouse has underfloor heating, making it wonderfully cosy and comfortable, particularly during the cooler months. So while Stratford is a fantastic destination for summer days by the river, the Townhouse is equally inviting for a winter escape.
Is the Townhouse newly renovated? Yes. The Townhouse has been fully renovated and refurbished, combining the character of the historic building with fresh, contemporary interiors and everything you would expect from a luxury modern stay. How close is the Townhouse to Stratford-upon-Avon railway station? The railway station is approximately a 15-minute walk from the Townhouse. This makes the Townhouse a great option if you're arriving by train and don't want the hassle of arranging a taxi or hiring a car.
Can I travel to Stratford from London by train? Yes – and getting to Stratford-upon-Avon by train is becoming even more convenient. With the new rail service planned to provide a direct connection from London, travelling to Stratford without a car will become an increasingly attractive option. Once you arrive, the Townhouse is around a 15-minute walk from the station, and from there you can explore the best of Stratford on foot.
Do I need a car during my stay? Not necessarily – and that's part of the appeal. The Townhouse is so centrally located that many of Stratford-upon-Avon's main attractions, restaurants, theatres, markets and the River Avon are all within easy walking distance. If you want to explore further afield, including the Cotswolds and Warwickshire countryside, having a car is useful – but for a Stratford break itself, you can happily leave the car behind.
