Where is Mount Pleasant Barns located?

Mount Pleasant Barns is located in the hamlet of Walton, just off the B4455 Fosse Way on the northern edge of the Cotswolds - just 15 mins drive from Stow on the Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden and surrounding villages. Broadway is just a 25 minute drive away. We are in a rural location but just 5 minute drive from the village of Wellesbourne with supermarkets, restaurants and village facilities, and a 10 minute drive from Stratford-upon-Avon. We are just a 10 minute drive from junction 15 of the M40. We are easily accessed by car and we get ubers and taxis here very easily. Is the accommodation self-catering?
Yes. All barns at Mount Pleasant Barns are fully self-catering, with well-equipped kitchens, spacious living areas, and private outdoor space, giving guests the flexibility and comfort of a home-from-home stay. Click here for more info
Is Mount Pleasant Barns dog friendly?
Yes. Mount Pleasant Barns offers luxury dog-friendly self-catering accommodation in the Cotswolds. Each barn welcomes up to two dogs and includes a secure, enclosed garden, countryside walks from the door, and thoughtful extras to help dogs settle in comfortably. Click here for more info.
Unfortunately, we are unable to welcome dogs at The Townhouse.
Do all the barns have private hot tubs?
Yes. Each barn features a private wood-fired hot tub, allowing guests to relax outdoors and enjoy the countryside at any time of year. They have been located to offer maximum privacy whilst still allowing users to enjoy the beauty of viewing the open countryside beyond from the tub. There is an unlimited supply of logs and fire starters included in the rental price and further associated services such as pre-lighting can be arranged on request. When is the best time to stay?
The barns are designed for year-round stays, with cosy interiors for winter breaks, outdoor space and hot tubs for summer stays, and beautiful countryside to enjoy all year round. The Townhouse is the ideal place to stay whatever the season.
Can I combine a town and country stay at the Townhouse and the barns?
Absolutely! Get the very best of our Mount Pleasant experience with a stay at our stunning Townhouse in the heart of old town Stratford-upon-Avon, then travel a few short miles own the road and relax in the heart of the countryside in one of our fabulous barns.
Can we walk to a pub from the barns?
Not quite. We're surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, so there isn't a pub within walking distance. It's all part of the peace, privacy and exclusivity that make Mount Pleasant Barns such a special place to stay.
The good news is that you'll be spoilt for choice just a 5–10 minute drive away, with a fantastic selection of traditional country pubs, restaurants and cafés. Local taxi services and Uber are readily available, making it easy to enjoy a leisurely lunch or evening meal without worrying about driving.
We don't currently have EV charging points on site at Mount Pleasant Barns or the Townhouse. However, there are plenty of convenient charging locations nearby, and we're happy to provide guests with a list of local EV charging points to use while you're out exploring the area. Many are located at supermarkets, service stations and visitor attractions, making it easy to top up your vehicle during your stay.
Is there EV charging nearby?
Are the properties suitable for older or disabled guests?
Yes, some of our accommodation may be suitable for guests with limited mobility, although we are not specifically equipped as accessible or disability-adapted accommodation.
The Shooting Lodge is all on one level and is located close to the parking area, making access straightforward.
The Coach House also offers a ground-floor master bedroom with a spacious en-suite featuring a walk-in luxury rainfall shower and a freestanding bath, making it another comfortable option for guests who prefer to avoid stairs.
The Townhouse is a ground floor apartment and is all on one level enabling guests ease of access from the street and within the property.
As every guest's needs are different, we recommend getting in touch before booking to discuss your individual requirements. We'll be happy to advise which property is the most suitable for your stay.
Yes. All of our properties have fast, reliable WiFi, making it ideal whether you're streaming your favourite shows, keeping in touch with family and friends, or working remotely.
If you need to catch up on emails, join video calls or spend a day working from your holiday home, our robust WiFi network provides a dependable connection throughout your stay.
Is there good Wi-Fi?

Absolutely. Mount Pleasant Barns is a wonderful choice for anniversary celebrations, whether you're celebrating as a couple or with the whole family.
For romantic anniversaries, The Piggery and The Shooting Lodge offer private, luxurious retreats with hot tubs, beautiful countryside views and peaceful surroundings. For milestone anniversaries where family and friends are joining the celebrations, The Coach House and Big Barn provide spacious accommodation perfect for gathering everyone together.
To make your stay even more special, we can arrange extras such as a private chef, pamper treatments and celebration packages.

Which property offers the most privacy?
All of our holiday cottages have been thoughtfully designed to offer guests plenty of privacy while making the most of the stunning Warwickshire countryside views. Each property has its own private garden with carefully positioned hedging and screening around outdoor spaces and hot tubs, allowing you to relax in complete comfort. Whether you're enjoying a romantic weekend away or a peaceful family break, you'll have your own secluded space to unwind.​​​​
​​​​Is the Shooting Lodge a good place to propose?
Without a doubt. The Shooting Lodge is one of our most romantic cottages and has been the setting for many unforgettable marriage proposals.
Its cosy luxury interiors, private hot tub, peaceful location and beautiful countryside create the perfect atmosphere for popping the question. Some proposals have been carefully planned, while others have happened spontaneously after guests fell in love with the setting.
It's also an ideal choice for honeymoons, mini-moons, anniversaries and romantic weekend breaks on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Is the Townhouse close to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre?
Yes. Mount Pleasant Townhouse is just a five-minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, making it an ideal place to stay if you're visiting Stratford-upon-Avon for a performance.

The Big Barn is perfect for multi-generational family holidays. By combining The Coach House with The Piggery, grandparents can enjoy their own self-contained accommodation while remaining just a few steps away from the rest of the family. Which property has the largest hot tub?
The largest hot tub is at The Coach House, which also serves guests staying in the Big Barn.It comfortably seats 6-8 people and features both hydro and air jets, making it perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, the Cotswolds or the surrounding countryside.​ Find out more about our hot tubs here
What can we do if it rains during our stay?
A little rain doesn't stop the fun! There are plenty of fantastic indoor attractions within easy reach of Mount Pleasant Barns.Visit the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, explore historic Warwick Castle, browse Stratford-upon-Avon's independent shops, enjoy museums and galleries, indulge in afternoon tea or unwind with a spa treatment. Many guests also choose to stay in, enjoy the hot tub, play board games or book one of our private dining experiences. Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?
Yes we do at the Barns! We offer a 1pm early checkin, a midday late check-out and on Sundays, we also offer a twilight checkout up to 7pm.There is a small surcharge to cover the cost of bringing on an extra team member to cover the cost of expediting the changeover to have the property ready in time. Just email us a few days before you are due to arrive and we can confirm whether this will be possible for your stay.
